Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and aerating to keep turf healthy and lush
- Maintain gardens by planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and applying mulch or soil amendments
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for landscape installation and maintenance projects
- Use equipment like excavators for larger landscaping projects involving grading or hardscape installation
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
- Execute landscape enhancements including hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pits
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot various landscaping equipment and tools effectively
- Experience with lawn care, gardening, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with landscaping principles, horticulture practices, and hardscape installation
- Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is a plus
- Prior experience with snow plowing or winter landscape services is desirable
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to landscape care
