Role Summary
Our production team is looking for a skilled Press Operator to manage the setup, operation, and upkeep of our printing machinery. You will play a key role in hitting production targets while upholding strict quality and safety protocols. We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who thrives in a high-speed manufacturing setting.
Key Duties

Configure and run printing presses for scheduled production tasks.

Prepare and organize all necessary materials prior to initiating press setup.

Sanitize press parts and printing decks during transitions between jobs.

Manage the installation and removal of print cylinders.

Oversee ink levels and viscosity to ensure consistent performance.

Modify press configurations to guarantee optimal print registration, impression, and overall quality.

Verify production jobs before startup to secure necessary sign-offs.

Continuously observe print quality during runs to make proactive adjustments.

Analyze work orders and production schedules to guide daily tasks.

Keep the workspace tidy and orderly to promote a safe environment.

Manage the disposal of solvents and ink in compliance with environmental safety standards.

Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize mandated protective gear to ensure a secure workplace for the entire team.

Complete additional tasks as requested by management.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of professional printing press operation.

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Proficiency in interpreting production schedules and detailed work orders.

Capability to measure accurately using a tape measure down to 1/32 inch.

Strong mechanical problem-solving abilities.

High level of precision and a dedication to maintaining quality standards.

Ability to collaborate effectively with team members or work autonomously.
Physical Demands

Capacity to lift weights up to 75 pounds.

Ability to transport 55-gallon drums with a two-wheel dolly.

Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout your shift.

Ability to identify colors and maintain sharp visual focus during quality checks.
