Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety and hygiene standards
- Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Handle food handling responsibilities safely and efficiently, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Buss tables and assist with serving food when needed to ensure timely service for guests
- Contribute to banquet setups and catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with presentation
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen workflow
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and serve customers professionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving supplies
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Experience in culinary roles such as serving or bussing is advantageous but not mandatory
