Job Overview:
Light mechanical duties as needed; such as oil changes, taking trucks to Les Schwab, checking brakes, etc. This position would entail taking trucks to appropriate third party entities.
Empty trucks at the dump every Monday and as needed.
Ensure that safety items are stocked and available in each truck.
Take trucks to glass repair shops for windshield repairs as needed.
Clean vehicles, including vacuuming and interior wipe down once per week.
Wash vehicle exteriors at least once per month.
Create and maintain effective yard organization.
Weekly inventory of yard materials and tools.
Coordinate movement and storage of materials in the yard.
Must be able to use a forklift, operate machinery, and lift at least 50lbs.
Ensure hazardous materials are stored and disposed of properly.
Run errands as needed, such as material pickup in company vehicle.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record.
Maintain effective communication with office staff.
Report any maintenance issues or potential safety issues to office staff immediately.
Requirements:
Current and valid Drivers License.
Knowledge of construction materials or willingness to learn.
Construction yard or warehouse experience preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts and safely handle equipment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Position will require work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be available to work Mondays and Fridays.
Must be available 8 AM — 5 PM on Fridays to help pick up materials as needed.
Must be available to work 3-4 days per week, 6-12 hour days.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
