Position: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Job Function Summary:
Arrange for timely and cost-effective shipments from and receipts to SSI Fabricated.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Shipping and receiving all inventory and non-inventory items.

Procurement of shipping companies.

Identification of shipping rates and insurances, including negotiating freight discounts.
- Back up Production Planner position while that employee is away.
- Generate Bills of Lading, export document sets and other shipping paperwork.

Work fluently with customer required traffic control systems.

Other functions as required by the Materials Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct Reports: None
Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years experience in shipping and receiving.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of computer data entry.

Knowledge of the latest shipping equipment and techniques.

Experience with Export Documentation and document set creation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years experience in shipping and receiving.

Strong data entry skills.

Read and write in English
-
High school graduate or GED.
