American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for an evening shift position at an academic Level I Trauma hospital in Missouri.

Evening shift, 5x8 hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
-
Adult acute care, adult ICU, and adult outpatient MRI settings
-
Full-body MRI coverage including head and neck, spine, chest, abdomen and pelvis, musculoskeletal, and special imaging procedures
-
Special imaging procedures include CINE (CSF flow study), diffusion, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, peripheral MRA, spectroscopy, and multiplanar reconstruction

1:1 patient ratio

Siemens MRI equipment required; Cerner and McKesson charting preferred
-
Floating is mandatory; all travelers may be assigned to float, including as a Patient Observer (Sitter)

At least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract are required

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Tech experience with at least 1 year in the MRI specialty

Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered

Level I Trauma experience required

Siemens MRI equipment experience required

ARRT (MR) and ARRT (R) preferred; BLS preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, isolation precautions/PPE, and peripheral IV starts (preferred)

Missouri or Compact RN license required if applicable — must be in hand at time of consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Perform a wide range of MRI procedures across body systems including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, musculoskeletal, and advanced special imaging techniques

Cerner charting experience is preferred but not required

Academic teaching hospital environment

RTO maximum of 10 days for the contract duration

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate

Travelers may work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (9 months) before a mandatory 6-month break is required prior to returning in an agency capacity

Re-orientation is not required for returning travelers within 18 months

Position requires the ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing 20 lbs or more

Role involves potential exposure to patients with contagious illnesses; rotating shifts and holiday coverage expected
