Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to clients in their homes or assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients. This role requires a strong commitment to caregiving and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of care.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Provide catheter care and manage other personal health needs as required.
- Help clients with mobility and transferring, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures while providing care.
Skills
- Strong understanding of caregiving principles, particularly in home community care settings.
- Experience with assisted living or nursing home environments is preferred.
- Proficient in performing CPR and basic first aid techniques.
- Ability to effectively monitor vital signs and recognize potential health issues.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical documentation.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a larger healthcare team.
