Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, including cocktail service, wine knowledge, and spirits experience.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and beverage service procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly to promote guest relations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest services.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations.
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential.
