Position: Sales, Events, & Marketing Manager

Position Overview
The Sales, Events & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving room revenue, event revenue, direct bookings, and overall brand visibility for The Six Bells Countryside Inn. The role develops and executes sales, marketing, and business development strategies while overseeing event sales and supporting the property's commercial objectives.
Success in this position is measured by growth in occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, event revenue, direct booking production, marketing performance, and guest satisfaction. This role partners closely with the General Manager to maximize profitability and enhance long-term asset value.
The Candidate for this role is eager, determined, exercises strong organization skills, and a true self-starter. This candidate can evoke and embody brand standard and culture both internally and externally, verbally and written.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day sales and marketing operation
- Ensure condition of event spaces regularly to maintain the Six Bells Countryside Inn brand standards.
- Maintain strong customer service standards; resolve guest concerns with professionalism and warmth.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining SOPs and operational documentation.
- Event Sales Assistance
- Oversee daily email communication with clients and prospective customers in a timely manner.
Revenue Generation Responsibilities
Drive Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to increase room revenue and event revenue
- Identify demand opportunities during low occupancy periods
- Support ADR growth through strategic pricing and packaging initiatives
- Promote direct booking channels to reduce OTA dependence
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Business Development
- Prospect and secure new corporate accounts
- Develop relationships with wedding planners and event professionals
- Build partnerships with tourism organizations and local businesses
- Identify opportunities with executive retreats, social groups, and special-interest travel segments
- Conduct regular sales calls, prospect meetings, and site tours
Revenue Generation Responsibilities
Account Management
- Maintain a portfolio of key accounts
- Develop annual account plans
- Increase repeat business from past guests and event clients
- Maintain strategic relationships with travel advisors and referral partners
Lead Management
- Manage all inbound sales inquiries
- Maintain CRM database accuracy
- Track lead sources and conversion performance
- Follow established response-time standards
Event Sales Responsibilities
Event Revenue Performance
- Achieve annual event revenue targets
- Maximize profitability of events through strategic pricing
- Manage event sales pipeline from inquiry through execution
- Develop new event business opportunities
Forecasting and Reporting
- Maintain event pace reports
- Track tentative, definite, and lost business
- Analyze event conversion ratios
- Forecast future event revenue
Contract Management
- Negotiate contracts within authorized guidelines
- Ensure deposit and payment schedule are maintained
Marketing Responsibilities
Supports GM and Kitchen in creating marketing materials, including

Strategic Marketing
- Develop annual marketing calendar
- Create seasonal campaigns and promotional offers
- Develop packages and experiences aligned with brand positioning
- Coordinate PR opportunities
Digital Marketing

Analytics
Monitor and report:
- Website traffic

Revenue Management Collaboration
Revenue Strategy Support
Partner with the General Manager to do the following:
- Review occupancy trends
- Analyze booking pace
- Evaluate ADR performance
- Monitor RevPAR trends
- Identify need periods
- Recommend promotional strategies
Reporting
Prepare monthly summaries including:
- Occupancy performance
- ADR trends
- Event production
- Sales pipeline health
- Marketing results
Operational Support
Provides operational support during peak business periods and special events while maintaining primary responsibility for sales, marketing, and revenue generation activities.
Authorities
Commercial Authority
Authorized to do the following:
- Negotiate contracts within approved guidelines
- Offer approved concessions
- Recommend promotional offers
- Develop marketing campaigns within budget parameters
Requires General Manager approval for the following:
- Unapproved discounts
- Contract exceptions
- Marketing expenditures above established thresholds

The Compensation package for the Sales, Events, and Marketing Manager will include a bonus based on the KPI framework below, as well as a commission commensurate with market rates and experience level.

Qualifications
Preferred
- 3-5 Years of Hospitality Experience, 1-2 years in leadership or supervisory positions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with hospitality systems at an administrative level (Toast, ResyOS, Mews, or similar).
- Exceptional organization and multitasking abilities.

- Experience selling weddings, retreats, and social events
- Experience in luxury, boutique, independent, or lifestyle hospitality
