Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger accounting to reflect daily transactions
- Reconcile balance sheets and conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
- Assist with payroll processing and tax-related documentation in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget analyses
- Support governmental accounting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is a plus
- Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; familiarity with 10 key typing for data entry efficiency
- Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial report writing is desirable
- Strong analytical skills for account analysis and budget monitoring
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors
