You'll own the client relationship throughout the sales process, serving as the trusted advisor from the first conversation through contract execution. You'll manage a blend of qualified opportunities, referral-driven projects, and relationships you cultivate within the architecture, design, and construction community. Your success comes from building trust, uncovering opportunities, and developing long-term partnerships that generate repeat business.
You'll have the autonomy to grow your business while being supported by an experienced team committed to your success. Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Project Management, and Operations, you'll ensure every client receives thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop new business through relationship building, referrals, networking, and industry events
● Build trusted relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, construction managers, builders, owner's representatives, and homeowners
● Lead client meetings, design reviews, proposal presentations, and contract negotiations
● Understand project goals, budgets, priorities, timelines, and technical requirements
● Collaborate with Engineering to develop thoughtful technology solutions that align with each client's vision, budget, and design goals
● Manage opportunities from discovery through signed contract
● Review architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents
● Maintain accurate CRM activity, opportunity tracking, and forecasting
● Ensure a seamless handoff to Project Management following contract execution
● Represent Sage AV at industry events, showroom presentations, Lunch & Learns, and networking functions

Must-Have Experience
- 3 or more years of experience selling integrated technology solutions, luxury residential systems, commercial AV, building technologies, or related construction services
- Experience managing consultative sales opportunities
- Experience working with architects, interior designers, developers, builders, general contractors, or construction professionals
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Bonus: Experience with Lutron, Crestron, Savant, or Control4
