Automotive Masker - Durham, NC

At TEAM COLLINS, every car is a canvas, and as a Masker, you are the guardian of perfection. Your work ensures vehicles leave looking stunning, with every surface protected and every paint line flawless.
Your Mission:

Learn and follow company standard operating procedures and best practices for quality, speed, and volume.

Inspect vehicles to identify masking needs and sensitive areas requiring extra protection.

Clean surfaces thoroughly—including jambs, cracks, and under the hood—eliminating wax, grease, and debris.

Apply masking paper and tape with precision to prevent paint seepage.

Back tape hoods, doors, and decklids; use finer tape in tight areas to prevent overspray.

Minimize over- and under-taping to enhance efficiency and maintain quality.

Inspect all masked edges, verify seals, and ensure no unintended surfaces are exposed.

Read and follow repair orders accurately.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Move vehicles safely and limit supply use.

Perform work in the order and manner prescribed; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
One year of automotive experience preferred.

Must be 18 years or older.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:

Lift, carry, and manipulate up to 50 lbs. frequently, occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions required.

Standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods.
Work Environment:
-
Exposure to paint, fumes, dust, chemicals, toxins, varying temperatures, and intermittent noise.

Use of PPE required.
