We are looking for a reliable and skilled Licensed Low Voltage Technician (Contract / 1099) to support ongoing projects involving structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and other low-voltage installations. This role is project-based and best suited for a licensed contractors who can work independently, follow scope-of-work requirements, and deliver clean, professional results in commercial environments.

You’ll be responsible for cable pulling, termination, equipment installation, testing/troubleshooting, and ensuring work meets quality and safety standards. Duties & Responsibilities
- Pull, route, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling following building pathways and safety standards.
- Terminate, test, and label network cables (keystones, patch panels, jacks).
- Install CCTV cameras, access control devices, door hardware, and related equipment.
- Install racks, patch panels, wall plates, and cable management.
- Read and interpret floor plans, cable maps, and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot low-voltage issues, including continuity, polarity, and connectivity.
- Complete punch-list items and ensure all work is clean and professionally dressed.
- Maintain communication with the project manager and report progress daily.
License Requirements (Required)
Applicants must possess one of the following active Florida contractor licenses:
- Certified Limited Energy Systems Specialty Contractor (ES) License (Preferred)
- Certified Electrical Contractor (EC)
- Other Florida contractor license that legally authorizes commercial low voltage and structured cabling installations
Applicants must provide:
- A copy of their active Florida contractor license
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Proof of General Liability Insurance
- Workers' Compensation Insurance or a valid exemption
- Business registration (if operating as a business)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, or security system installation.
- Ability to terminate CAT6 to industry standards (A/B).
- Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues and perform cable testing.
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control hardware, and basic networking.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have your own low-voltage hand tools and punch-down tools and ladder.
- Must be eligible for 1099 contract work.
Pay: $32.57 - $70.00 per hour
