Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and supervise retail staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team
- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system oversight
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met
- Implement sales strategies, monitor sales performance, and motivate the team to achieve targets
- Conduct interviews, participate in recruiting efforts, and assist with employee orientation and onboarding processes
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to ensure outstanding service
- Manage scheduling shifts, oversee payroll processing, and ensure operational compliance with company policies
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, inventory management, and cash handling
- Proficiency in POS systems, sales management software, and basic math for retail math calculations
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and operational management
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and supervising staff members
- Knowledge of grocery store or retail store product knowledge is a plus
- Ability to manage time efficiently while balancing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence and managerial communication
