In this position, you’ll focus on delivering direct speech services to a traditional caseload, engaging with students who will benefit from your compassionate support and professional expertise. You’ll likely be assigned to one school site for stability and relationship-building within the educational community.
Qualifications:
- Have an active FL DOH SLPA licensure
- At least 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, including a minimum of 6 months in a school-based environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
- Ability to complete school district fingerprinting requirements or AHCA Clearinghouse verification, and to apply for a JLA badge
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language interventions to students as directed by supervising SLPs
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation per district and state requirements
- Assist with screening processes and help facilitate communication activities in the classroom
- Participate in team meetings regarding caseload and student progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for students receiving services
