Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Radiologic Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services for patients and surgeons across Ambulatory Surgery clinical settings. This position is part time per diem, Monday through Friday daytime. We offer flexibility with competitive pay. You will be responsible for performing precise OR C-arm Operation and positioning, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety protocols. Your skills will directly contribute to accurate surgical precision, and effective planning, making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Operate advanced imaging C-arm fluoroscopy systems to produce surgical images.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
- Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret images accurately.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records; ensure all imaging data is stored securely per HIPAA regulations.
- Stay current with technological advancements in medical imaging.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with valid state licensure.
- Proven experience operating diverse medical imaging equipment including X-ray, and fluoroscopy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Experience working in urgent care settings or emergency rooms; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques and radiation safety protocols essential for patient and staff protection.
- Ability to perform interventional radiology procedures with precision and confidence.
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages while providing compassionate care.
