Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in automotive repair and maintenance while working alongside experienced professionals. The right candidate will need to have or be able to get a Michigan state technician learners permit, Mi state brake certs and more mi state certs as you progress, also required to take and receive Ford certifications, must have experience in safely and properly placing vehicles on a hoist, oil change experience, tire changing experience, minor auto repair experience, perform vehicle maintenance flushes a plus, learn to perform Ford recalls as needed. This position is step above an oil tech position with opportunity to grow and become a Ford Master certified technician.

Duties
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and suspension system repairs
- Support in repairing diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery safely and effectively
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used
- Support vehicle alignment, shocks & struts replacement, ADAS calibration, and other mechanical repairs as needed
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair industry background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and powertrain components
- Familiarity with schematics and automotive diagnostics tools is a plus
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and continuous learning
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive technology is advantageous
- Pay will depend on your experience and your technician certifications from the state or Ford
Pay: $47,500.00 - $52,500.00 per year
