Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and visionary College Provost to lead our academic community with strategic insight and dynamic leadership. The Provost will serve as the chief academic officer, responsible for overseeing all facets of academic excellence, faculty development, curriculum innovation, and institutional accreditation. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader who can foster collaboration across departments, drive strategic planning initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of educational quality. Duties
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the college’s academic mission, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and industry standards.
- Oversee curriculum development to enhance program relevance, rigor, and student engagement across all disciplines.
- Manage budgets effectively, including managing financial resources allocated for academic programs, faculty development, and accreditation processes.
- Lead efforts to maintain compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring continuous accreditation status.
- Supervise senior academic staff and faculty members, fostering professional growth through mentorship, evaluation, and performance management.
- Promote faculty collaboration on research initiatives, curriculum enhancements, and innovative teaching practices that elevate the institution’s reputation.
- Coordinate academic program management by overseeing course offerings, scheduling, resource allocation, and student success initiatives.
- Drive strategic management initiatives that support institutional growth, diversity efforts, and community engagement.
- Represent the college at external academic conferences, accreditation bodies, and community events to strengthen partnerships and visibility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in higher education administration with a strong background in academic leadership roles such as Dean or Associate Provost.
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum development processes and educational program management.
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets within an educational setting and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Strong management skills with experience supervising faculty and administrative staff at an executive level.
- Expertise in strategic planning within higher education environments to foster institutional growth and innovation.
- Background in university or college teaching coupled with active involvement in academic research projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
