Peraton requires Network Automation Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.
This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The Network Automation Engineer is responsible for the oversight, analysis, design, testing, and support of network automation deployments within the customer environment. The Network Automation Engineer will create automated scripts and leverage automation & SIEM tools to deploy standardized and authorized configuration changes, software and patch deployment, and containerized platforms. The network automation engineer will also use similar tools and various APIs to gather, analyze, shape, and report informatics through relevant and intuitive visuals & dashboards. Finally, the Network Automation Engineer will leverage data, tools, APIs, and best practices to develop and optimize automated workflows that will digitize manual processes within the operational environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assists with the creation and management of automation scripts within a hybrid environment.
- Analyze operational requirements for information and knowledge, and develop digital solutions that leverage existing data and user inputs, using platform-agnostic tools and APIs.
- Identifies user assumptions and requirements to designs automation scripts to accomplish the tasks required by the user.
- Uses industry best practices to develop automation capabilities for the customer.
- Performs – and automates – maintenance activities to support the existing catalog of automation tools developed.
- Serves as the go-to person/mentor for questions as well as research related to automation scripting.
- Mentors members of the team to be more effective in writing scripts and implementation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and developing CI/CD capabilities.
- Experience in DevOps and DevOps practices.
