Redstone Recovery Specialist I
Schedule: Full-Time and PRN
The Redstone Recovery Specialist I (RRS I) provides direct, patient-centered support to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Leveraging lived experience and recovery-oriented principles, this role is responsible for building therapeutic rapport, promoting engagement in treatment, and modeling healthy recovery behaviors. The RRS I supports the multidisciplinary care team by reinforcing treatment plans, assisting with patient needs, and facilitating communication between patients, families, and clinical staff. This position requires a strong understanding of the disease model of addiction, relapse prevention strategies, and the ability to effectively manage and de-escalate emotionally charged situations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain supportive, professional relationships with patients throughout the treatment continuum
- Provide encouragement, accountability, and recovery-based guidance using lived experience when appropriate
- Support patients in adhering to individualized treatment plans
- Assist in de-escalating crisis situations using appropriate intervention techniques
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the clinical team to ensure clear, consistent communication
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care
- Assist case management with discharge planning and continuity of care efforts
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding expectations, program structure, and treatment progression
- Respond to incoming inquiries (calls, emails) related to admissions in a timely and professional manner
- Provide accurate information to prospective patients and families regarding services, expectations, and next steps
- Support the admissions workflow by identifying opportunities to improve responsiveness, efficiency, and conversion outcomes
- Maintain current knowledge of all Redstone program offerings and services
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient interactions and follow-up activities
- Conduct post-discharge follow-up and document outcomes to support continuity and recovery tracking
- Ensure all documentation meets organizational and regulatory standards
- Assist with basic patient care needs as appropriate within scope
- Prepare and serve meals and supplemental nourishment in accordance with dietary and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients
- Address patient and family concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Escalate issues as appropriate to leadership or clinical staff
- Promote a positive patient experience aligned with organizational standards
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and adherence to organizational policies
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and development related to behavioral health and recovery support
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
