Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Plan efficient routes using mobile devices to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety protocols
- Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injury
- Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including inventory management and material handling
Requirements
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and customer service excellence
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is highly desirable
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and delivery documentation
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly while maintaining proper manual handling techniques
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to scheduled routes and delivery deadlines
