American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDIS) Case Management position requiring CCDS certification, Epic experience, and a MA RN license.

Hospital-based Clinical Reporting unit focused on clinical documentation integrity
-
Concurrent review of inpatient medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient acuity and resources expended
-
Reviews surgical procedure documentation for accurate ICD-10-PCS code assignments

8-hour day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week

No float requirement
-
No charge nurse requirement

Epic EMR experience required

Active MA RN license currently in hand

Current BLS (AHA) certification required

Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification required

3–5 years of clinical documentation integrity or case management experience required

BSN preferred; graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Responsible for concurrent inpatient medical record reviews to ensure documentation accurately reflects patient acuity and resources in payer-interpretable language

Follows specific criteria sets to ensure regulatory compliance

Orientation is held biweekly

COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required; medical exemptions are accepted

Any previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employee (travel, permanent, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break from any BILH facility and be in good standing prior to consideration
