Duties
- Operate commercial laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently and safely
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and chemicals while adhering to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sorting stations, machines, and storage spaces
- Monitor laundry cycles for quality control, removing items that require special attention such as dry cleaning or stain treatment
- Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Experience
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation and cleaning procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety instructions carefully and handle chemicals responsibly
