Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, farm equipment, industrial tools, and transportation vehicles. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM schematics and electronic diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery, farm equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs.
- Inspect and service vehicle systems including tire replacement and alignment, brake repair, HVAC systems, and powertrain components.
- Maintain accurate service records detailing repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for each piece of equipment or vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and develop effective repair strategies.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while adhering to industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment service background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engine diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and automotive repair.
- Hands-on experience with construction machinery maintenance such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus; must be comfortable performing heavy lifting when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to team members or clients.
- Valid certifications in diesel engine repair, air brake systems, HVAC systems or welding are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
