Position Summary
The Inventory & Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, issuing, and maintaining inventory to support manufacturing operations. This position ensures timely material movement, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports efficient warehouse operations while promoting a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Essential Functions
- Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Count, label, and organize inventory items to support efficient storage and retrieval.
- Enter relevant information into the company’s inventory management system.
- Pick and issue job kits according to production work orders while maintaining required documentation.
- Operate manual and automated material-handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Perform regular inventory counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet productivity goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding inventory status, incoming orders, and operational issues.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency within the inventory management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of 1 Year Experience in warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing preferred

Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including safety pallet jacks and hand trucks.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and inventory management software or ERP systems

Ability to organize work, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory transactions

Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve inventory discrepancies

Willingness to work overtime or weekends as business needs require

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands to handle materials for extended periods. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance or mechanical lifting devices. The position requires repetitive hand and wrist movements, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and the ability to read labels, computer screens, and inventory documentation. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Corrective lenses may be used as needed.
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, noise, dust, varying temperatures and other typical manufacturing/warehouse conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
