Duties
- Perform professional blow dry styling using various techniques to achieve desired looks for clients.
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles, products, and treatments.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all styling stations and tools in accordance with salon protocols.
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, styling tools, and add-on services to enhance client satisfaction.
- Support front desk operations by greeting clients warmly, managing check-ins/check-outs, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Stay informed about current hair trends, color theory, and new styling techniques to continually improve your craft.
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of blowout work.
- Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care is a plus.
- Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of color theory, makeup application, and hair threading enhances service versatility.
- Store management skills or mentoring experience are advantageous for growth opportunities within the team.
