Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and individualized care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and experience working with young children, including infants and toddlers. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants and toddlers’ needs
- Provide attentive caregiving, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of each child
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and daily activities
- Manage classroom routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and play activities
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health & safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational experience
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive behavior and emotional regulation
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is essential
- Experience with infant care and toddler care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Background in classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is necessary
- Familiarity with special education practices or caregiving for children with disabilities is advantageous
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving infants or toddlers will be considered valuable candidates
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
