The position
The Personal Care Nurse Manager provides clinical leadership and oversight for all resident care services within the Personal Care Home, including the secured Memory Care community, in accordance with Pennsylvania’s Personal Care Home regulations (55 Pa. Code Chapter 2600.) This role ensures high-quality, person-centered care through resident assessments, service plan development, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and direct support to residents and families. The Nurse Manager acts as the clinical authority for wellness-related decisions and collaborates closely with administrative and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current valid licensure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse; minimum of two years’ experience as a professional nurse in a Personal Care/Life Plan Community, in which professional competency has been demonstrated. Strong knowledge of PA Personal Care Home Regulations (55 Pa Code 2600). Current CPR certification.
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising care staff. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Respect for the capabilities and individuality of elderly residents; compassion, initiative, integrity and patience; ability to coordinate and supervise staff fairly; flexibility; ability to maintain an even temperament in demanding situations; clear, open and fair communication skills; leadership skills, especially in emergency situations.
Preferred:
Experience managing or supervising a Memory Care/Dementia Care program. Training or certification in dementia care (e.g., Alzheimer’s Association, NCDDP, Teepa Snow PAC). Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Prior regulatory survey experience. Train the Trainer certification for Medication Technicians.
Hours~ Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
