About Us
Forno Pavese is a family-owned wood-fired pizza restaurant opening in the Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago.
What began as a mobile wood-fired pizza business serving farmers markets, festivals, and private events has grown into our first brick-and-mortar restaurant.
We are looking for motivated cooks who want to be part of our opening team and help build something special from day one.
Position Summary
This is a cross-trained position. Team members will work both pizza and line stations and are expected to support all kitchen operations as needed.
We are looking for individuals who work with urgency, take pride in their work, and thrive in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Stretch dough and build pizzas according to recipe standards
- Work pizza station and oven when assigned
- Prepare appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and other menu items
- Restock ingredients and maintain station organization during service
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Assist teammates and support other stations when needed
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
