Overview
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager / Sales and Design Associate to oversee procurement of materials, hardware, cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and other products for our kitchen and bath remodeling projects. This role is critical to keeping projects on schedule and on budget by ensuring the right materials arrive at the right time, at the best possible cost, and at the quality our clients expect. The role also involves close collaboration with our sales and design teams to help guide product selections that fit client budgets and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, appliances, hardware, and other materials from vendors and suppliers
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers; negotiate pricing, terms, and volume discounts
- Coordinate purchase orders and delivery schedules with project managers and designers to align with project timelines
- Track inventory levels, lead times, and order status; proactively resolve delays or shortages
- Compare vendor quotes and evaluate quality, cost, and reliability to select the best suppliers
- Manage vendor accounts, including invoicing, credit terms, and dispute resolution
- Monitor material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, budgets, and reporting for each project
- Coordinate returns, exchanges, and damaged/defective product claims with vendors
- Stay current on new products, materials, and industry trends in kitchen and bath design
- Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure selected products are available within client budgets and timelines
- Manage showroom/warehouse stock levels if applicable
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of kitchen and bath products (cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, tile, appliances) strongly preferred but not required.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, project managers, and installation crews
Preferred Experience
- Established relationships with kitchen and bath suppliers/distributors
- Background in sales, interior design, construction management, or a related field
- Experience with budgeting and cost control for residential remodeling projects

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
