Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours
- Uphold high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance
- Contribute to catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in menu planning and food industry operations is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
