Full-Time Housekeeping Room Attendant

Element West Des Moines is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and hotel common areas to ensure a welcoming, comfortable, and high-quality experience for every guest.
Weekend availability is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Make beds and replace linens and towels
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, showers, and other surfaces
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and room amenities
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard-surface flooring
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Restock guest room supplies, toiletries, and amenities
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness and ensure all items are properly arranged
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or lost-and-found items to a supervisor
- Clean assigned common areas as needed
- Follow established cleaning procedures, safety standards, and chemical-handling guidelines
- Complete assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Work cooperatively with housekeeping and other hotel departments
Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established timeframes
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
Schedule
- Full-time
- Day shifts, with start and end times based on hotel occupancy and business needs
- Weekend and holiday availability required
