Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for various menu items with precision and speed
- Cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
- Serve dishes efficiently to guests or front-of-house staff while maintaining a positive attitude
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Culinary experience including knife skills, meal preparation, and menu execution is advantageous
- Familiarity with the food industry environment, including kitchen operations and food service practices
- Experience with catering or large-scale meal prep is a plus
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety protocols and sanitation requirements
