Connected Growth & Wellbeing (CGW) is hiring a clinician to join our multidisciplinary team!
This salaried position is available either part-time (24-30 hours) or full-time (5 full days) for a licensed psychologist, postdoctoral psychology fellow, or seasoned (at least 5 years in practice) licensed clinical social worker.
Position entails in-person work in both Manhattan and Queens office locations, with occasional virtual hours.
Connected Growth & Wellbeing (CGW), a dynamic small group private psychological services practice led by Dr. Lauren Tobing-Puente, has been dedicated to promoting development and wellbeing since 2006. We specialize in assessing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD, and addressing social-emotional challenges and developmental delays for individuals (toddlerhood to adulthood) and their families. Services include evaluations (psychological, psychoeducational, neuropsychological), psychotherapy (individual and parent-child), parent consultation and training, social skills classes, and parent support groups. We use DIRFloortime and related strategies as part of our holistic, strengths-based, and neuroaffirming approach.
The position includes, but is not limited to:
· Psychotherapy, including parent-child, individual and family modalities, using DIRFloortime and related supplemental approaches
· Evaluations (psychological, psychoeducational, neuropsychological, neurodevelopmental) for psychologists or postdoctoral psychology fellows
· Collaboration with multidisciplinary team of providers
· Weekly individual supervision and twice monthly group supervision
· Presentations to parents and professionals
The ideal candidate possesses a strong clinical background in developmental and relationship-based intervention and competence working with neurodivergent clients ranging in age who are diverse with respect to their ethnic, religious, cultural, gender identity, and family backgrounds.
Clinicians who are child/person-centered, creative, play-based, and have an understanding of foundation developmental capacities, mindfulness, and diversity-informed practice are encouraged to apply.
Experience in neuropsychological evaluations and/or autism diagnostic tools are a plus for psychologists or postdoctoral psychology fellows
Excellent oral and written skills, both for the purposes of client communication and report writing are required.
We expect applicants to share our team’s strong work ethic and ability to work both independently, as well as collaboratively, with a team of providers.
Psychology applicants must hold a NYS license in Psychology, be license-eligible, or have completed the requirements for a postdoctoral psychology position.
Licensed clinical social workers must hold a NYS license in social work.
Bilingual (including Spanish, Mandarin, or Korean) a plus.
