Support Specialist– Electric Motor Repair Shop

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift (Flexibility for Rush Jobs Afterhours)
Compensation: $18-$22 hourly, based on experience

Position Overview
The Support Specialist is a critical role supporting shop operations, customer communication, and workflow coordination. This position works closely with technicians, supervisors, and customers to ensure repair jobs are clearly communicated, properly documented, and completed on time — in alignment with A&W’s commitment to technical excellence and superior service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate electric motor and rotating equipment repair jobs from intake through completion
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding job status, estimates, and schedules
- Create, manage, and update work orders and job documentation
- Communicate repair findings and recommended scope of work to customers
- Assist with preparing estimates and coordinating approvals
- Schedule and prioritize work to meet customer commitments and shop capacity
- Proactively communicate delays, scope changes, or additional repair needs
- Ensure completed work meets quality and documentation standards prior to release
- Maintain accurate records in shop management systems
- Support company safety, quality, and operational standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a repair shop, service coordination, or industrial environment a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
- Comfortable working with shop technicians, customers, and vendors
- Proficiency with Technology (Outlook, Excel, Word, job tracking systems, hardware)
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to electric motor repair, pumps, gearboxes, or rotating equipment
- Experience creating service estimates and managing work orders
- Background in an industrial service or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated strong urgency, initiative and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment
