Field Acquisitions Coordinator
Job Overview
Book Boys is growing fast, and we're looking for a Field Acquisitions Coordinator to be our front-line presence across the DMV. This role is part logistics, part customer relations, part first-pass inventory judgment — you're the person who shows up, represents the company, and makes the call on what comes back to the warehouse. You'll manage a daily route of scheduled pickups, work directly with customers (homeowners, estate reps, and library contacts), and occasionally handle on-site packing to prepare collections for transport. We're looking for someone reliable, sharp, and comfortable working independently — this role has real autonomy and a direct line to how the business grows.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during scheduled pickups, representing Book Boys professionally in the field
- Travel to pickup locations throughout the DMV area and manage your own daily route
- Assess and verify collections on-site, documenting completed pickups accurately
- Provide on-site packing support when requested, preparing materials for safe transport
- Safely load, transport, and unload books, boxes, and bins between pickup locations and the warehouse
- Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, or customer feedback directly to management
- Maintain basic vehicle upkeep and follow all safety/traffic procedures
- Assist with warehouse unloading and organization as needed
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service instincts — you're comfortable being the face of a business
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and manage physical route work
- Self-starter who can manage a schedule independently without close supervision
- Comfortable with smartphone-based navigation and reporting tools
Growth
Strong performers have a path to Route Lead or Sorting Lead as we scale our field operations team.
