Overview
Custodians are responsible for keeping a multitude of Wolf Creek's facilities clean and well-stocked. The expectation is that custodians are capable of working independently and can complete tasks in a timely manner. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain facility restrooms, dining areas, and other high-traffic areas including: Main Lodge, Prospector, Base Camp, Wolf Pups, Lynx, and Raven’s Nest/Roost
- Perform detailed and thorough cleaning of all assigned areas
- Restock restrooms with paper products and other supplies as need
- Empty trash cans regularly, and pick up litter both indoors and outdoors
- Collect and store recyclables appropriately
- Clean all floors, including vacuuming carpets, treating stains, and mopping hard surfaces
- Assist other departments as needed (bathrooms, lodges, rental shop, retail shop)
- Support food and beverage by helping with trash, dishes, and general tidiness
- Respond promptly to unexpected messes such as spills, snow and ice, bodily fluids, or pest-related issues.
- Perform simple maintenance tasks such as tightening loose screws, replacing light bulbs, and installing basic parts like gaskets
- Understand how to operate carpet cleaners
- Perform any tasks as directed by the on-duty manager
- Prepare for cold weather with proper apparel: ski pants, snow boots, gloves, and hat
