Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive practice plans tailored to skill levels and team goals, emphasizing sports-specific techniques.
- Lead practices, games, and team meetings with enthusiasm, ensuring clear communication of strategies and expectations.
- Mentor student-athletes in teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
- Coordinate with organization staff to schedule games, tournaments, and special events.
- Monitor athlete progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
Skills
- Previous coaching experience
- Collegiate level playing experience, or above
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a diverse group of young athletes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with players, parents, staff, and community members.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response protocols to ensure athlete safety.
- Experience working with children or students in educational or recreational settings; teaching background is highly valued.
- Skills in behavior management to foster discipline while maintaining a positive team atmosphere.
