Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Armed Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment at designated sites by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your expertise in law enforcement, physical security, and emergency procedures will be essential in protecting property, assets, and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and address security risks or breaches
- Monitor surveillance equipment and access control systems to ensure safety protocols are upheld
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security events or irregularities
- Perform background checks on visitors or contractors entering secure areas
- Enforce security regulations through effective conflict management and de-escalation techniques
- Operate firearms, tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service or related fields preferred
- Valid firearm handling certification and Taser license required
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures preferred
- Strong surveillance skills with knowledge of access control systems and CCTV monitoring
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required
- Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills
- Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and incident report writing standards
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond effectively in high-pressure situations
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
