The HVAC Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC systems across Fresno Pacific University’s multiple campuses. This position locates and diagnoses maintenance problems on equipment, performs preventative and emergency repairs, and ensures consistent, reliable climate control year-round.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Schedule routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and service of HVAC systems.

Maintain HVAC equipment in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Facilities.

Update and maintain records for all equipment inspections, filter changes, and equipment placement.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.

Ensure compliance with safety and appliance standards.

Install electrical components and wiring.

Inspect and test HVAC systems and components.

Recommend maintenance to improve system performance.

Keep records of work performed.

Perform soldering as needed.

Lubricate and oil equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
$54,080 to $61,630 is the annual starting salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
