Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Site Area Manager (herein referred to as Manager) to oversee a set of Los Angeles-based multi-family residential properties. This position reports directly to the Regional Manager. The Manager is the main point of contact for residents within their portfolio and oversees the dedicated maintenance technician assigned to the portfolio. The Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the properties including, but not limited to, resident relations, rent collection, maintenance oversight, inspections, and ad hoc tasks as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years’ experience as a Property Manager with experience managing medium (50+) amd large (100+) unit buildings and/or multiple smaller (30 units or less) scatter site assets simultaneously.
- Experience managing on-site staff (up to 5 people)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Yardi suite of products
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Desired Skillset
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. The candidate will also be able to demonstrate a wide range of knowledge around resident relations, property operations, and basic to intermediate maintenance procedures. Candidate should be familiar with Los Angeles-specific laws, SCEP and RSO requirements, and fair housing practices. Candidate should be comfortable working unsupervised, handling ambiguity, and utilizing critical thinking skills.
Must be proficient in Yardi Voyager and preferably all applicable suites (Rent Café, CRM, MIQ).
General Duties
- Act as the main point of contact for residents regarding rent and maintenance questions and concerns.
- Compile and generate reporting on property operations, including, but not limited to, work order analytics, delinquency/collections, vacancy, and unit turns.
- Walk each building daily and ensure that the property is up to company standards.
- Schedule work orders to the Manager's assigned maintenance technician, create and close work orders, oversee work and technician hours, communicate with third-party vendors, and follow up with residents after completion of work orders.
- Coordinate move-ins, pre-moveouts, and move-out walkthroughs with residents. Conduct move-out inspections and follow up with the Turn Team Coordinator on unit turn progress.
- Conduct, or be present for, all inspections at your properties, including, but not limited to, semi-annual inspections, building inspections, bank inspections, health inspections, and SCEP inspections.
- Communicate with the corporate office, accounting department, and leasing department about property operations. Conduct or coordinate on-site team to conduct leasing tours.
- Scan rents, generate and post notices to Pay or Quit, and follow up with residents on delinquency.
- Generate and post all notices at the property, including, but not limited to, Pay or Quit, Perform or Quit, 24-hour Notice to Enter, Rent Increase Notices, and Water Shut-off Notices. Additionally, post other notices provided by the corporate office.

Salary: $70,000.00-$85,000 per year DOE
