The Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and preventative maintenance program for our 115-room hotel. As our longtime Chief Engineer prepares for retirement, we're looking for a leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.

What You'll Do
- Lead all aspects of the hotel's maintenance and engineering department.
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, and other building systems.
- Maintain the pool, spa, and life safety systems.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records.
- Manage department inventory and purchasing.
- Train and supervise the maintenance team.
- Participate in the manager-on-duty rotation as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience required.
- Prior supervisory or Chief Engineer experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Mechanical equipment
- Preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
