We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to lead the end-to-end deployment of our advanced hardware and software solutions - from initial configuration through to final onsite commissioning.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will spearhead the end-to-end deployment of our hardware and software solutions. You’ll serve as the lead technical expert on-site, overseeing everything from initial configuration to final commissioning. This role bridges the gap between our internal engineering teams and our customers, ensuring every installation is reliable, high-performing, and executed to the highest standards.

Schedule: Standard
Compensation: $110-115k+ OT, Stipends, Bonus, and Incentives
Field Service Engineer Requirements/Competencies:
- Target Industry Experience: 3+ years of dedicated Field Service or Commissioning experience directly supporting hyperscale data centers, industrial power management systems, or critical electrical infrastructure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on military/field experience in power distribution).
- Power & Equipment Aptitude: Strong technical familiarity with low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution environments, including switchgear, transformers, PDUs, and power monitoring devices.
- OT & Industrial Networking: Proven proficiency configuring and troubleshooting industrial communication protocols and automation layers, specifically Modbus (RTU/TCP), TCP/IP, OPC UA, and MQTT.
- Execution & Autonomy: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to safely navigate live multi-phase electrical environments and work independently at demanding client facilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver technical guidance, train facility engineers, and present diagnostic data clearly.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%) to customer sites.

- Conduct rigorous functional, acceptance, and validation testing to ensure system data accuracy matches strict engineering and utility specifications.
- Diagnose, trace, and resolve complex communication line dropped packets, configuration errors, and hardware issues encountered during active site commissioning.
- Ensure all field deployment tasks comply fully with strict data center safety mandates, company guidelines, and NFPA 70E / OSHA standards.
Customer Engagement & Site Consultation
- Serve as the primary, high-credibility technical point of contact for data center operators and engineering teams throughout deployment.
- Provide clear, professional technical training to customer facilities personnel regarding system operations, sub-meter tracking, and power quality software platforms.
- Deliver transparent, routine project status updates and milestone breakthroughs to both external enterprise clients and internal project managers.
Technical Documentation & Product Feedback
- Author exhaustive site commissioning reports tracking firmware versions, network maps, configuration tables, and physical site observations.
- Maintain spotless digital service records, calibration data, and compliance documentation for all field actions.
- Feed field-level diagnostics and systematic technical insights back to the core product development and global engineering teams to drive next-generation hardware/software optimizations.
Cross-Functional Synergy
- Partner seamlessly with Project Management, Sales Engineering, and QA groups to achieve on-time, high-accuracy deployment handoffs.
- Actively contribute to refining commissioning checklists, diagnostic tools, and standard operating blueprints.
- Foster a collaborative engineering culture by mentoring teammates and sharing complex OT networking or electrical troubleshooting techniques.
