Glovis Georgia, is an integrated logistics company located in West Point, Georgia. We provide Tier 1 logistic, warehousing and inventory services to Kia Motors Manufacturing. We currently have an opening for an Accounting Specialist.
Job Function:
This position will be working in the Finance Department, primarily doing our Accounts Payable functions, but will assist with other areas.
Responsibilities:
- Standard Accounts Payable activities. Including: Invoice coding, Categorization, and Inputting data into accounting system.
- Insuring timely payment of all invoices.
- Check invoices from out of State to make sure use tax is applied to relevant invoices.
- Monitor banking systems and print daily statement for banking reconciliation.
- Set up and manage vendor accounts in SAP system, including W-9.
- Prepare weekly A/P aging report and reporting payment status on open items.
- Generate payment of invoices including ACH payments and manual check payments.
- Administrative support for Accounting Department and Accounting Manager.
- Assist with month and year end closing and annual audits.
- Maintain records, including filing of documents related to payments and invoices.
- Maintain lease schedule according to GAAP. (Lease asset and liability)
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- 2 Year Accounting Degree or 3 years full time working experience in accounting field (preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment).
- Must have direct Accounts Payable experience
- SAP Experience
- Strong Excel Skills: MUST be able to create complex excel formulas as well as Pivot Tables and V- Lookups.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Prefers ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and written as well as in Korean and English languages.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed to assist with closing periods.
