Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Care Providers to deliver personalized care and support to special needs children in their own homes. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, developmental play and promoting independence.
Ideal candidates will have experience in child care, disability support, physical and mobility assistance, or home health services, along with a strong commitment to client well-being and dignity. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the every day life of a child through play, support, care and companionship .
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Engage with child in adaptive skills lessons and developmental play to strengthen social skills, communication, self-esteem, and independence.
- Perform light cleaning and housekeeping related to child's activities and areas to maintain a safe and comfortable environment during session hours
- Facilitate and perform exercises with child as recommended by their team for improved skills, community integration, physical, occupational, and speech development.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient information at all times
- Document care provided as needed/requested accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
Qualifications
- Prior experience in child care and special needs is preferred
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy or other neurodivergent conditions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance. Child needs physical assistance going to the bathroom, bathing, and play.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills, passionate about children and child development
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans and protocols
- Valid driver’s license required
Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
