Law firm recruiting for the position of an Administrative Accounting Services Manager. This position will have close collaboration with multiple attorneys and staff within the firm and attention to a wide variety of business organizational, transactional and compliance matters for the firm. This position provides exceptional, responsive and cost effective services under the supervision and guidance of the COO. This is an exempt position.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively participate and supervise all areas of daily transactional processing including Billing, Cash Receipts, and Accounts Payable (including 1099)
- General ledger analysis, reconciliation of discrepancies, adjusting journal entries
- Provide primary assistance to outside Accountants
- Month End Closing bookkeeping
- Computation/filing of Commercial Activity Tax and Use Tax
- Management of AR collections including client contact and payment plan administration
- Client Account investigation/issue resolution
- Review weekly payables, approve payments, process wires and online bill payments.
- Manage share payments and tracking of loans for equity partners.
- Process monthly journal for ADP benefits for all employees.
- Manage timecards and process bi-monthly payroll for support staff and paralegals using ADP
- Review payroll journal and assist with discrepancies
- Manage approval of pto requests.
- Run billing reports for attorneys and process client invoices monthly; upload to
- several client billing platforms;
- Review/release adjustments/discounts on all invoices
- Supervise Record Retention System/Procedures
- Assist with General firm administration
- Event Planning
Education and experience
BS/BA in Accounting; preferred
Minimum of 5 years Billing and/or Staff Accountant experience in a law firm or other Professional Services firm required
Skills and abilities:
Advanced working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Solid intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel
Highly proficient in using PDF manipulation software (i.e.,PDF Docs, Adobe Acrobat Professional).
Experience and proficiency in use of technology
Exceptionally well organized and detail oriented

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
