Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immunization Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. This role is vital in supporting immunization and clinical services. Duties
- Prepare and administer immunizations accurately following state healthcare regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, including pharmaceutical calculations and drug regulation adherence.
- Manage data entry related to patient records, immunization documentation, and pharmacy software systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality while providing excellent patient service and care.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including drug regulation
- Perform medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration date monitoring.
- Assist with intake processes for immunization appointments and patient inquiries.
- Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy laws governing medication administration and pharmacy technician responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on immunizations.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician with current state registration/license required.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and data entry procedures.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and hospital or community pharmacy standards.
