Responsibilities
Assist healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient appointments.
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), accurately documenting patient information, medical history, treatment plans, and procedural notes in compliance with privacy regulations.
Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance details, updating medical histories, and explaining procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and coordinating follow-up appointments or referrals as needed.
Maintain medical documentation including detailed medical records management.
Assistance with minor outpatient procedures may be required.
Skills
Proficiency in medical office management and administrative support to streamline daily operations.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management to facilitate seamless data entry and retrieval.
medical assistant certification is not mandatory but is a plus. Basic life support (BLS) certification is also a plus.
Excellent patient service skills combined with compassionate communication to foster trust and comfort during clinical interactions.
Background experience in dermatology or other outpatient medical specialty is highly desirable.
