Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Multi Speciality Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background along with critical thinking and willingness to learn. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories and current health status.
- Explain procedures, ensuring informed consent, and addressing concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond promptly to acute pain management needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide postoperative/postprocedure insturctions regarding wound care, medications and follow-up.
- Educate patients and families about recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Previous experience in perioperative, surgical, postoperative, or critical care is preffered.
Skills
- Strong clinical judgement and clinical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in handling sugical instruments and maintaing sterile environments.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Pre and post experience.
- Operating room experience a plus.
Part time does not include benefits.
