Printing Operator
We are seeking Printing Operators to be responsible for the operation of certain sections of the Printing Press. In this position you also need to understand and follow all safety, quality and printing procedures and communicate with the lead for decision making on quality and productivity needs.
What you will do
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform Unwind operation, Ink operation and Floater operation to help produce quality product within specification in a safe and efficient manner. Be in constant communication and follow the lead to ensure smooth operation.
- Understand the quality standards intended for the position, to perform designated basic quality inspections. Maintain logs and reports, reporting any anomalies that impact the quality of the process, complying with the specifications.
- Participate in WCM teams and activities to eradicate losses in the process following the methodology.
- Comply with the safety policies and all measures including food safety standards like BRC, GMP established for the area.
- Participate in AM teams and activities. Follows AM methodology to drive down losses by improving machine reliability, quality, efficiency and maintaining the gain by standardization. Help progress AM teams thru various steps reaching autonomous level and maintaining the gains.
- Prevent waste generation by ensuring all procedures are followed. Be proactive with zero loss mindset and further minimizing waste by continuous improvement.
We believe you have
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Prior production/manufacturing machine operation experience preferred
- Basic machine maintenance skills
- Quality inspection and machine systems handling
- Intermediate computer skills
- Dependability and reliability
- Eager and committed to grow in a company that practices world class manufacturing in every way, every day.
- Basic math skills, basic reading comprehension, basic understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and World Class Manufacturing processes.
Shift hours
- 12-hour shift from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
- Rotating weekly 2-2-3 schedule, working every other weekend.
